Hot-air airships are hot-air balloons that are shaped to resemble the famous Goodyear airships. However, unlike the Goodyear these airships use hot-air to provide lift, rather than expensive helium gas, require only a small crew, and when not in use they are simply deflated and stored in a bag rather than a large hangar. Beneath the envelope - which is made mainly from Hyperlast fabric - hangs a sophisticated four or six seater gondola equipped with twin burners, Rotax engine, four bladed propeller, VHF Radio Dittel FSG 2T and Intercom. The GD series offers a more streamlined envelope, higher air speed, active pitch control and reduced envelope weight. Cameron can also construct helium filled airships to special order, both unmanned and manned.
