The Cameron Roziere is the ultimate lighter-than-air craft for long-distance flight. This combination helium and hot-air balloon is the only manned balloon to have circumnavigated the globe, and it holds the absolute world distance and duration records for all aircraft. Envelopes can be single or double skinned and the balloons can be supplied with pressurised or non-pressurised Kevlar and carbon fibre gondolas, bare or completely fitted with life support, navigation and communication equipment. Roziere burners are available in multiple units from two upwards. Electronic ignition is an option.
The Cameron GB1000 marks a new generation of hydrogen capable gas balloons. Uniquely designed to avoid mixing of the lifting gas with air at any time, it offers improved safety when filled with Hydrogen. It is also Helium compatible. Completely sealed when flown, the envelope valve is opened automatically when the balloon becomes pressurised. As a further added safety precaution all parts are conductive - including the envelope fabric - to eliminate the risk from static electricity. The natural shape netless envelope is bright white to reflect solar heat during the day and minimise cooling at night, two effects which limit duration. The load ring is of lightweight titanium and a lightweight basket is fitted.
