The giant Guinness Glass was inflated with cold air. Two fans were used: one for rapid inflation and the other to maintain pressure. An on-board power supply was carried, together with ballast, to improve its behaviour in a wind or helicopter downwash. It can be used as a static display, but has also been carried spectacularly by helicopter to appear against famous landmarks like London's Tower Bridge and New York's Statue of Liberty.
