The engine for the Nimrod maritime aircraft was expected to be exposed to ocean sea-salt conditions.
To test the engine while exposed to moisture and salt at Farnborough test facility, Cameron Fabric Engineering constructed a bespoke fabric enclosure around the engine while it was being test run.
